first day of the activation LOTA went to the purfleet path calling 26AT/ENG027 for Crayford Ness light in front of me ,no skip at all or ground wave but managed 7 in the log 3 of within 3 miles of my location 2 from Essex and 2 from Cambridgeshire 1 of being an AT member at least the weather was good altho a little chilly had a few weird looks from walkers and one old boy who rekons I took him back to the eighties lol
next sunday will go to Mucking Flats

I'm hearing one station this morning but very weak and under a lot of whistles and bangs of band noise. All I got was 26AT/ENG on frequency 27.547

That was me from 26AT/ENG237 ..... I use 27547 all the time for all the ENG on my island ...
So if you hear me give me a shout .... I get some funny looks wearing my headphones lol

Thought it might of been you Mike, I did give you a couple of calls after you took the 2 Italians but you obviously didn't hear me.
I have managed some good contacts wearing headphones where I otherwise would not have without, surprising what a difference they can make.

Have more been added? I made contact with 26AT/ENG212 on 07/07 and today a very difficult contact with 26AT/ENG121 Jan, neither of which are listed.

Hi Tim thanks for the call today in the log 100% yes the Broadness Light was added during the lockdown ENG212 as im now semi retired I have time to travel and activate more lights.Today I was on the river Thames opposite grays in Essex on the Kent side with a mobile station in the van a superstar 9900 just the 60w and a Sirio 5000 antenna so that's why the signal wasn't too good from me,recieved you ok 5x5 no problem.At this location you cant set up with a big antenna or run a lot of power due to the electronic equipment located close by and the land owners instruction.nice copy tho also had 016 Paul in the log 5x7 wasn't a bad few hours.
There are some new lights in Suffolk that will be activated by me now as Des 870 had a motorbike crash broke his hip and leg so out of action ; they include Lowestoft HI.Lowestoft Low,Southwold,Orfordness and Dovercourt

Thanks Ian for the information, obviously didn't have a clue as to where you were located, now that was a good contact, very pleased with that! Equally didn't know where Nash was but again really pleased to have made the contact. If I managed both of you then there's a good chance I might get a few others in the LOTA log. I can see the light!  8)
